What the Caucasus has to offer a cyclist?
The same Caucasus you know from winter getaways and freeriding in Gudauri transforms in summer into one of Europe's most undiscovered mountain bike hotspots. Between Europe and Asia, the Greater Caucasus Range offers elevation changes, alpine valleys, and trails that aren't even mentioned on standard tourist maps.
This isn't a marked former park with signs at every turn. This is true backcountry: technical descents, centuries-old shepherd's trails, and views worth lugging your bike across half of Europe for.
Kazbegi: Alpine flow and enduro descents
The Georgian Military Highway, the same area where freeriding takes place in winter, turns into a mountain bike training ground in summer. Alpine meadows, fast ridges, and wet, technical sections in the valleys. Most of our tours start here—descends with vertical drops of up to 1,000 meters and Mount Kazbek on the horizon.
Svaneti: Wild Singletrack and Medieval Towers
If you're looking for true backcountry and high-altitude drama, Svaneti is it. Peaks over 5,000 meters, ancient watchtowers, and steep technical trails. In Mestia and Ushguli, you'll travel along paths that shepherds have used for centuries—rocks, roots, and fast alpine flow.
Tusheti: deep backcountry
One of Europe's most pristine regions, accessible only a few months a year via a dangerous mountain pass. There are no bike parks or groomed trails here—only wild, challenging, and incredibly beautiful routes. Our multi-day expeditions to Tusheti are for experienced riders seeking a true adventure, not just a stroll.
Tbilisi and Lisi Ridge: A Quick, Technical Warm-Up
You don't have to go deep into the mountains. The hills around Tbilisi, especially Lisi Ridge, are dry, rocky, and technical, perfect for a day trip: stretch your legs, adjust your suspension, and experience the local trail culture all within fifteen minutes of the old town.
When to go
- May–June — low mountains, trails around Tbilisi, everything is green and warm.— low mountains, trails around Tbilisi, everything is green and warm.
- July–August — a golden window for the highlands: the passes in Tusheti and Svaneti are completely open, allowing you to travel at altitudes of 3,000+ meters.
- September–October — Alpine forests in gold and red, the soil holding perfectly, plus the harvest season adds a truly Georgian flavor to the trip.
